Great news for the users of the 1AV family of products: 1AVCenter, 1AVCapture, 1AVStreamer, and 1AVMonitor can now generate recorded content in MP3 and MP4.
Up to this last release the 1AV family had the option to record MP3 files only under Windows XP, so all the users running Windows Vista, 7, and 8 couldn’t record in MP3 or MP4.
The audio encoder to generate MP3 files is the free ‘LAME Encoder’ and it comes with a ton of settings that you can change in order to find the perfect combination of size and quality you need for your MP3 files.
The video encoder to generate MP4 content is ‘Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec’.
By default the programs come with MP4 and MP3 as the default combination to be used. In this respect the programs got better as well because before the default settings for compression generated gigantic files, so from now on all that is over. The entire 1AV family now comes ready to start recording in WMV, WMA, WAV, MP3, and MP4, all with high compression rates.
Nothing changed on the programs except the ability to record in MP3 and MP4. This update is important and it was on the TO-DO list for a long time, so I am excited with the news because it will bring greater capabilities to the users of the 1AV family.
